Concert - Los Altos - June 14th

Join us on June 14th and 15th for an extraordinary musical journey into a world rarely heard in the West a world where sacred music lived both inside and beyond the church's walls.

In centuries past, spiritual music in Russia was not confined to formal church services. Out beyond the walls of the church, it also flowed through monasteries, village gatherings, and daily life - monastic poems of ancient chant, spiritual chants of the late 17th - 21st centuries, folk poetry, songs of wandering lyre players or pilgrims, and much more. This was a spiritual music of ordinary people – songs on spiritual themes, or as
the performers themselves said, simply "songs in the presence of God."
